Goose in the Pond

This is the quilt my classes have been working on this week.
I started the quilt some years ago and have just finished . It's hand quilted.
The block is documented both as "Goose in the Pond" and "Young Man's Fancy",
(be careful if you google that)

I love the backing fabric: maps of Paris.

We stared and stared at this one.
What's wrong? well it was just decded to leave it.

You can't beat blue and white.

  1. Isn't that the way? Always seems to be something with one of those last blocks! How big did your blocks finish? The little 9 patchs in it look so small. Nice job. I'm going over this afternoon to spend some time with a couple of older friends that are working on a Sunbonnet Sue for their DUP (Daughters of The Utah Pioneers) quilt.

  2. I have made a similar quilt that was called "Arlington"

Its a great block, so effective but not overly tricky.
Looking forward to seeing the white quilt.
