tea cosies....

A few posts ago I showed how I just cannot bear to waste my precious kimono fabric,
and I just love making these tea cosies!

I am wondering...

if there were so many countries at the "opening ceremony"
why our TV channel only shows us one or two?

At least I am going to get some sewing done

Like doing the binding on this quilt.

How small

is too small?

Making a"Trip Around the World" involves a lot of cutting up strips,
sewing them together,
cutting them up a bit more,

a bit of unpicking,
then lots more sewing up.
At the  end of the strips are all these little bits too precious to discard.

So I do a bit more unpicking and trimming....

But these little bit of selvedge....
less than 1/4" ?

Multitasking

While still working on my main quilt I couldn't wait to work with the remnants.
You know I love my tea-cosies.
Will a white one stay white?
And these threads?
Well I have to say I was  a bit underwhelmed when they were given to me.
That little basket full...
Now I am loving them!

I love

 class day.

We had a nice morning tea
with some still left-over.

And we made some heat bags "free-hand"
that is , without any pattern.

Di brought these lovely "pink ladies" so we shared them up.

What do you do

when you can't sleep?
Or wake up early?

 I'll be all white soon.

Annie gave me this

I visited  Annie  yesterday

and she gave me this "scarf" that she had felted.
Well she didn't have much choice.
I sooo wanted to make  another tea cosy
and look!

I am running out of teapots!

A-door-able

I have been back a week now and I really want to sew

but I am so tired.

Jet lag! Never underestimate it.

I think it's much worse going from west to east.

I am tired most of the day, fall asleep at 8 and ready to go at 3 or 4 in the morning.

But it's too cold to get out of bed.

So I thought I would share these doors with you.
