13 miles or 21 kilometres.
It rained a lot overnight and was threatening more
as we stepped out this morning.
After a bit it turned to mizzle
and we had to get all the gear out.
Lighter than carrying it.
But soon (of course) the weather cleared a bit at Shap Abbey
and I put the waterproof trousers away again.
Someone over there was certainly getting it though!
During our lovely stroll across the dales it stayed fine
and then coming into Orton the sun came out!
It's lovely here. Wish I could stay longer.
