Old favourites

Sometimes I think I'm done with quilting.
What more is there I want to do?
And people say to you:
"And how many quilts do you have now?"
And then you stumble on a new blog like this one
and I am back at the beginning looking at all the quilts that got me started.
And I am getting started.
Again.
This is my first finish for 2016.

It's from this book by Linda Brannock and Gerry Kimmel
dated 1992.
I have used fabric from the stash for the back
and I'm liking it more and more.
The current project is also from one of these old books.

  2. It's beautiful, so warm and cozy. I have to admit I'm going through one of those phases too. Probably just a pause from quilting until new inspiration strikes.

  6. I pulled out all of my Red Wagon books. Theirs was my nearest quilt shop, back in the day. Even though their style was not really my style, k felt compelled to always get the newest book when it came out. Looking through them now with different, older eyes, I see many things I might light to try. Your version is charming! I'm eager to see what else is coming.
