She has a few blog links and today I chose yours. Too bad I didn't know you wanted to journal!! I am just now finalizing the itinerary for my journaling trip to Umbria, Italy, taking place this August. I am of italian heritage and this summer I organized an authentic italian experience through journaling for textile artists and quilt makers! I am sorry I didn't know you beforehand as I could have sent you some info! I hope your sketching discoveries continue. You are correct. Practice is the key!Sandra Refordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10690963196014532360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138486128096895882.post-4043136062205682692016-07-06T21:46:42.903+10:002016-07-06T21:46:42.903+10:00I have that interest too. A non photo blue erasable pencil is an indispensable tool for initial sketching and I have a small travel watercolor set that I take with me when out in the field. My husband is a nature photographer and we spend hours onsite and hiking so I need to be able to carry everything with me. I joined a facebook group called The Nature Journal Club. The founder is a California outdoor education teacher named John Muir Laws, he has tons of free YouTube video instructions that have really helped me in my drawing. He also recommends tools and sells some things very cheap to encourage drawing. Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16512566930432872049noreply@blogger.com
