It is with mixed feelings I write today.

I have had the most fabulous week at "tafta" in Geelong.

I have made friends with marvelous women and been re acquainted others.

What a week!

Why the mixed emotions?

I don't think I have been pushed out of my comfort zone

and that's sometimes what you need.

But how amazing is when you meet those you follow from afar

and have their books

and LOVE their work?

I had to

I had to do it again.
I saw a little thing at a market this morning which inspired me again.
I thought this little bag would be handy to put on the bedside table for my jewelry.
It measures 3 3/4" by 3".
Because that's the scraps I had.

little things

I have many big projects on the go
and a few smaller ones as well
But today i just wanted to make something...

So I darned this little bit of silk and made a little bag.

And then I thought I would have a go at some houses...

With my white quilt almost done I am turning to the next quilt.
I started this quilt in Febuary last year in a Kaffe Fasset workshop.
It is in his book "Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts".
He calls the quilt "Tilt"..
The workshop took place on the day of the devastating earthquake in Christchurch, NZ.
I had many friends in Christchurch that day, who thankfully made it home safely.

how to quilt it, by hand of course?

The quilt is a lot like this old piece of "Boro" I have had for some time.

Did you see this post?
I hope Sophie doesn't think I am stalking her but I love her pottery!

Old favourite

I decided to darn this little hole in my favourite old cardigan...

and maybe a button or two.
Does it qualify as crafty?
