There is always a view

While we have a tiny room
not facing the park
with not enough room in the shower to touch your toes

I still like our view of the rooftops.
It's a bit Mary Poppins.

I am going to do some window boxes this year.
And saw this sneaking through the back of Somerset house.
A quilt?

Well my knapsack's packed.....

I have done the most important packing....

See?

And I'm ready to go.

Off for our next big walk.

But. We were three hours late leaving Melbourne

and slow leaving Dubai....

We are here now,

took a big long walk to Southwark for tea and

had a good sleep last night!

This one's for you Annie

Today we caught the Tube to Richmond.

Then we walked through town and along the river

to the Petersham Nurseries.

I think I will just have to show all the photos...

I really wish I could have bought all these clematis.

And guess what?

You can eat there.

Very, very nice!

What jubilee?

Here's a few photos of the streets today....

I have been to London many times. I have lived here.

Had a baby here.

I have never seen it looking so spick and span!

I think they've got a big weekend planned.....

And a "banksy".

This little notice is on the Tube.

First plane

We were the first plane to touch down at Heathrow yesterday.

At 4.30am!

Pity they didn't warn the immigration staff.

" Border control", the great leveller.

This is my view as I rested on the bed in the afternoon.

First destination was the British Museum and those "marbles"

just a short walk away.

We passed through Tavistock Square,

a beautiful garden which has recently been replanted.

It was the site of one of the London bombings in 2005

where 13 people died.

Entry to the Museum is by donation.

Might call in each day and go on a free "eye-opened" tour.
