Finishing school

I thought I would share my recent completions....

some fabric is just too good to cut up so it's best used for something special.

And more backing too good to cut up.

Carpenter's Square

So what do you think?
I really like this old pattern but it also looks modern don't you think?

Printemps 2

Did I say I would be back with photos?
Where did the time go?

But rather than gazing out the window I have been doing a bit of sewing...

I think this is called "carpenter's square".
I have been messing around with a pattern I had
(too complicated) and images from cyberspace to write my own pattern.
If you would like to follow along just let me know and I will forward you my "notes".
I love solids or as I am now going to call it
"colour blocking".
