so that was Christmas

So Christmas is over.

Even the cricket is finished for now...

but this was what was keeping me busy leading up to Christmas

You may have already seen them on Instagram

but I have decided I find blogging (and reading blogs) more satisfying

so from now on I am going to try and blog more.

What are your thoughts on this dilemma?

Spread out

I love this part 

where all the blocks are spread out.

How will it look?

 Overall white but my favourite bits are the not-white.

Do you like the backing? 

Ages ago some one talked about this range on their blog.

I bought it knowing one day I would need it.

My cat is quite the critic these days.

I have been stitching my Ice Age.

I have been following the weather reports in North America.

I think I am going to call this quilt "Ice Age".

I have been thinking about white.....

So I have started.

I am going to rework this quilt (one of my favourites).

I have almost finished the quilting on this quilt,

a lovely feeling.

A different white

I have had a break this week.

Time away helps you focus don't you think?

I have been surrounded by my favourite colours:

White, blues and the all shades of brown.

I haven't skied a lot in recent years and was surprised that I still could!

Not too much time spent with my face in the snow!

While riding on various devices that get you up there I contemplated the similarity between my quilting and my skiing. 

You have to focus on what you are doing, not looking around too much, just looking close up at the detail. And then after a while you can stand back and admire.

I'm itching to start a new quilt now but in the meantime have been working on this,

But I am thinking it would be great in blues and browns.....

white today

TodayI had a little play in my white fabrics

 Back here I made some of these in indigo

but blue doesn't always co-ordinate with my "outfit"

so I decided I wanted a white one.

And it is always easier to do a couple at a time, don't you think?

very soon

I am going on a trip very soon.

So I wanted to make a little thing for my little things....

It should tuck nicely into the corner of my suitcase.
