The taxi's waiting

It's blowin' it's horn...

I wish

Instead we were up early and on the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow.

All has gone smoothly and we are on our way home.

Just a few more pictures to tide you over.

Next!

Paris was fun. Of course it was.

Now we onto the final stages of our trip.

It is magical!

Les soeurs anglaises where I am taking part in a workshop.

I'll let the photos tell the story.

I can't stop taking photos.

Paris

Paris at last.
We needed this rest.
BUT
let me tell you: Paris is shut.
Every one has gone on holidays and everything is shut.
It seems the only people here are us tourists.
I have read about August in Paris but I did not think it was so dramatic.
Most of the shops on my list are shut and the few others don't have my size.
(Or won't allow photos so no point blogging about them!)

On the up side we have a huge lovely room near Le Bon Marche

with a lovely view
And that's the Friday traffic! It's really amazing.

And the metro is empty.
Oh well, doing nothing in Paris is fun too.

Won't need these anymore

No need to carry litres and litres of water everyday.
Which one will I keep?

Today was laundry day
And then we caught the ferry to St Mawes,
much quicker than walking.

I think I see some arty quilts here.

Finished!

We've done it.
Walked 144.5 miles or 232 kilometres.
That's not counting back tracking, wrong turns, walking to the pub, short cuts that weren't,
and walks after dinner.
Yesterday was a bad day.
It poured rain all morning (yes on with the water proofs).
It was wet, muddy and very slippery!
Through the gate?
Or over the wall?
Through the quarry...

hmm, over the creek as the tide is rising...
More walking and another ferry,
Slow going,
And then here we are....

a very grand B&B.

The final leg of our walk into Falmouth.
Wish the path was like this a bit more often.
And our final view of Cornwall from our room?
That's the public loos.
