I don't make any New Year resolutions
But I do have a plan.
Well not so much a plan really....
a mission to alway have a quilt at hand to gift
when the feeling strikes me.
That, of course, would mean finishing a few of the "tops" that are in the cupboard.
So I washed a King-size batting (120" x 120") and spread out 4 quilts.
It used up the whole thing.
Now the quilting, you know me, by hand.
Where to start?
Resolution or mission, it is a nice thing to be able to do. Do you always wash the batting? I have never washed the batting. Sometimes I wash the top and the back athough rarely and only if using a batting that I hope will shrink.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good idea. I also like the thought of always having something ready to hand-quilt. These tops are lovely, and will be so much more so with your stitching.
