Name suggestion?

I have to say that I am quite pleased with my latest completion.

It has taken quite few years.

I love it when people say:

"and how long did it take you?"

Well they won't be disappointed this time.

Why does a quilt need a name anyway?

Like children?

So you can keep track of them?

Any suggestion?

And the back story of course.

  2. I love all of your work, and this one is at the top of the list. Your use of subtle changes in color value is skilled and sophisticated. I would love to see them in person. I'm sure they're even better than in the photos. Congratulations on a stunning finish!! No name needed, unless one comes to you. Surely the quilters of days gone by didn't name their quilts.

    1. Thank you. I am really grateful for your encouragement. Isn't it great that we can show our things to the world albeit virtual, but how good would it be to go on a trunk show?
I search for names for the quilts mainly for "showing" them. I have a small show coming up in a few weeks. It is in a gallery attached to a shop selling Japanese fabrics, notions etc. (Kimono House).
I decided some time ago that my quilts don't compare well in traditional quilt shows but look really good in galleries so that is where I aim to be seen ( and sold as a bonus). But paintings in galleries nearly always have titles don't they? They other thing about galleries is that you don't get all those questions about whose pattern and blurbs and all that stuff.
I am a big fan of yours by the way. Cheers.
