Wave Goodbye

I feel a bit sad this afternoon.

I sold these quilts at my exhibition, A Pieceful Life, 

and today they went to their new home.

 I haven't had the sewing machine out this week. 

I have been hand quilting this one.

Handquilting is so relaxing and I am loving this quilt.

 So instead of me here are couple of boxes from the girls I "coach".

 I finished this zig-zag quilt a little while ago 

but forgot to post it.

Very quick.

Very easy!

And hand quilted.

How Was Your Weekend?

 I have just had the best weekend down at Lorne. Well the weather could have been better.

For some.

It was perfect for me.

All along the Lorne foreshore there is currently an Event.

Turning the Corner

I am putting the binding on the Treez quilt at long last

I don't do a lot of applique as I am not into..........

I don't mean that. It's just that I have so many quilts in my head applique slows me down.

BUT I have enjoyed designing and making this quilt.

 This one has been done by one of my 'girls'.

I went to a local market today

just walking distance from my home

It was in a lovely old building which dates from the Gold Rush days, called the Mining Exchange.

These two ladies had clothes too nice to resist

 

 

 

 And I had to have a couple of bangles from Amber.

I just love going to look at the things these clver people have made.

Can't wait for the next one on December 11th.

Something to celebrate?

I have. It's my birthday today.

Yellow is my colour this year.

I think I will just admire them for a while.

More bright things

It is Spring here today

And this quilt is now in one piece.

I had an overall plan for the quilt but sometimes I just went a bit random.

Random:   1. haphazard, without aim

                   2. with equal chances for each item.

Now for the backing........................

Blue and white and black
