I have been to London many times. I have lived here.
Had a baby here.
I have never seen it looking so spick and span!
I think they've got a big weekend planned.....

We were the first plane to touch down at Heathrow yesterday.
At 4.30am!
Pity they didn't warn the immigration staff.
" Border control", the great leveller.
This is my view as I rested on the bed in the afternoon.
First destination was the British Museum and those "marbles"
just a short walk away.
We passed through Tavistock Square,
a beautiful garden which has recently been replanted.
It was the site of one of the London bombings in 2005
where 13 people died.
Entry to the Museum is by donation.
Might call in each day and go on a free "eye-opened" tour.
But I have to say we are eating some
fabulous food at fabulous places
The restaurant looks across Kowloon to Hong Kong.
There is a light show every evening.
This is a circle of pumpkin topped with a mixture of mushrooms,
tea smoked chicken,
and of course, ice cream.
Any one who knows me, knows how I like to drink tea.
Well this restaurant specialized in it.
Fabulous!
We are at the airport now waiting to board our flight to London.
As the lift at the hotel said all the time : Cheerio!
But everywhere I look
there are quilts
begging to be made.
How many "post-its" is that?
I am definitely making this last one!
The holiday has got off to a fantastic start.
The mountain climber has been saving "points" to give me a comfortable seat.
And
at the last moment they upgraded him to one as well.
The first leg of our trip has gone smoothly.
We checked into our hotel at 11.30pm
admired our room
and went to bed.
Well it has taken me a while
butI think I've got it.
I have done this on my iPad!
Who would have thought I would have to master all this technology at my age.
Easy really.
While I was living it up with my quilting buddies
the mountain climber was making quince paste.
Lots of it!
