Did I say I would stop?

With Christmas so close we are all getting a bit excited

but the other day I noticed

my tea cosie 

didn't fit the season

so....

Meet my Christmas tea cosie!

I'm not the only one

I'm not the only one I'm sure who likes to make their own gifts at Christmas

So this is what we had a go at...

The mountain climber and I.

Some petunias. 

 

They looked good for a short while but I have already given them away.

Lost...

I was playing around with my blog earlier trying to add another blog to my favourites

(over on the side there) and then

I lost the lot!

I have been getting ready for Christmas...

      The time is flying.

What do you do with these lovely jars?

Home Alone

I've been home alone for the last few days!

What bliss.

So I started on a new quilt

all fabric from my stash, so far.

But how long does fabric have to be in the cupboard to qualify as "stash"?

Not sure which way will be "up" ....

AND

I finished this cardigan

except for the buttons.

The yarn is a sort of denim blue.

I added the pocket.

Red buttons?

(By the way, it is Summer here)

Can't stop there

Just one little try is never enough

so I had another try...

Over here they've used a glue stick to hold things in place.

Seems like a good idea, so I did that with the circles.

.

And I touched up the edges..

The first 2 were larger than the prescribed size

 so these are just a bit smaller.

Trading Cards

I've got so much on the go at the moment

I don't know what to tackle first.

I need a trading card for next week but didn't have any inspiration....

I wanted it to be "me"

but quick.

This technique needed to be done as a pair.

What do you think?

I should trim them to the exact size but I like the messy edges.

Don't you love surprises?

 Do you remember I went to Sydney a couple of weeks ago?

I gave my niece this quilt.

No reason

except that I thought she would give it a nice home.

But guess what?

 

I came home and found these beautiful flowers on my front doorstep!

 

And another thing....

I just love when things come in lots of cellophane.

I love cellophane!

And I'm not going to stop

I have 2 teapots that live on my bench
so I had to make at least one more..

I thought this one needed just a bit more

Maybe I should put some on ebay?

I've lost count

Yes. I have made another tea cosy.

On reflection

I quite like it.

Bright

The weather today is beautiful.

We haven't had many of those so far this Spring.

It made me want to do something bright!

These pieces are leftovers from some applique blocks.

I am cutting the flowers free hand.
