Out of sorts

I have been feeling out of sorts lately.
Quite a few of my friend have been in hospital or unwell.
Too many of you! But cheerio!

I baked for my class but I am lacking motivation this week.

And I swapped this

for this after my "open studio"

A bit of "steampunk"

I made the pendant. I have wanted one of the for quite a while.

Not just about me

 

 

While lots of people came to my "open studio"

I had to thank the mountain climber for these photos.

He is largely responsible for our beautiful garden and it could not have looked better.

Just doing a few finishing stitches now before my open studio.

This one isn't really part of the "theme" for the weekend

But I am finishing it anyway.

A close up did you say?

The is a very large pure wool shawl that could cover a single bed 

but squash into a small chocolate box.

Good for that next big trip....

I am very new to this "eco" dyeing: can you see the imprint of the eucalypt leaves?

The piece was folded and folded again and tied "shibori" style between 2 blocks of wood.

The pale stripes are because I tied with narrow tape intead of string.

I also have some dyed tape as well now.

It's on the little necklaces below.

Why make just one?

This was one small piece of silk form an old kimono which also went into the dyepot last week.

I am thinking a tiny sewing kit?

I have been away at "tafta".

I have been having so much fun learning Eco-dyeing and stamping and printing....

just look at my shawl!

Time to put my feet up now.
