Big or small?

 

I have made about 60 blocks which will measure 7 1/2" when joined up.

Now

I don't know how big to go?

8 X 8 or 7 X 9?

Bigger or stop now?

Where did that week go?

More than a week really....

I have been busy starting a new quilt.

It is not easy to demonstrate the colour.
That is the beauty of these dark indigoes:

they seem to have a changing mood.

And I have mended a piece not suitable for the quilt and made a little bag. 

More of these coming as well I think.

More paper piecing

I could really get into this paper piecing....

While at my watercolour workshop earlier this week I managed to sew the binding on a quilt and make another pincushion.

Not so sure at showing my painting efforts but they are over on my Instagram.

Dark blue

Hard to get the colour just right in these photos...

I am off learning how to paint in watercolour but needed something to do in the evening to relax so I made the binding but the photo is a poor representation of the colour.

 

 

 

All finished now but still hard to capture the dark, dark blue.

Maybe this last one is most like the real blue but can you see it?

I just love these old japanese indigos.

After my lovely holiday
