India 5: the step well

This trip was pretty full on!
It is so nice to lay your head down at night and sleep all night.

I can't find "the step well" on our itinerary but I do recall the suggestion that we make a short detour.

It was so worth it.
Located between Jaipur and Bharatpur it was one of the most memorable sights of our trip.

The Chand Baori is a step well built over a thousand years ago and is one of the largest in the world.

It is not easy to find apparently, one of the hidden secrets of India.

India 4: Taking a train

And then there was the day we took a local train.

The plan was to board a local train for a 2 hour journey and I must admit the idea had me worried.....

no air conditioning, crowded, who knows?

Well there was no need to fear. It was not crowded, there were fans, a few locals and I was colour coordinated!

And meeting the locals was fun.

And when was the last time you hung our the train door?

India 3: Our night in the desert.

It seems everyday was loaded with a new and different thrill.

Our night in the desert was magnificent,

and luxurious.

We were roused before dawn with a cup of tea.

Beautiful!

India 2 (doors and windows)

Unlike my previous holiday posts these ones are just going to be random photo montages.

I thought the walking holiday was tough but a bus tour is really full on leaving me to tired to keep you posted at night so this way I am going to post random things...

Today, doors and windows:

Blogging India 1

Today I am going to start sharing a few photos form my holiday.

I won't do this in any order and I may repeat myself but bare with me.

Let's start with a camel ride in the desert from a few days ago.

It finished at sunset and presents me with one of the few times I will reveal myself.

The camel drivers were hilarious. Second from the right described his age as 70 minus 2.

I have never seen a sand desert before so this was amazing!
