All finished.
Funny how much more I like a quilt once it is finished
but up am not sure which way should be up?
And I like the back.....
Just look at that quilting.
Maybe it doesn't matter
beacause I like it slung over a chair as well.

The trouble with slow stitching, that is my hand quilting,
is that it makes for very slow blogging.
I have finally finished the hand quilting on this piece.
So now it's just the binding.
Much as I would like to
I have been unable to quilt lately
but I have been knitting.
I bought a new set of carbon fibre knitting needles for Christmas.
This is the first chance I have had to use them
and I am loving them.
And I have recently finished this cardigan in cotton.
Most recently we have been in Austin, Texas for a wedding!
I am thinking of my new book as a paperback
so I thought I should make a slip case to protect it.
So
back to YouTube.
The site I found suggested I would get better at this with practice.
Who knew?
So I had a practise with my little travel journals I made last year.
Worked out well.
I think cereal boxes are just the right weight.
So then I started on the main project.
Failure.
I didn't have enough "seam allowance" in my cardboard
and it was way too thick.
Back to the Office Supplies shop.
Aren't they fun? So many distractions.
More graffiti to cover it and a good result in the end.
I have been mostly working on my quilt
Hand quilting definitely can be described as Slow Stitch.
I love the feel of a hand quilting.
I have been for a drive in the country.
Dry, isn't it?
And a walk down some back lanes in South Melbourne.
I love this stonework: nice house blocks.
