Do you find when you take a break that it is hard to find inspiration?
Thanks to this Instagram post I found some inspiration.
"Churn Dash" has been on my to-do list for a long time.
It has been so long since I have been at my sewing machine that it seemed to have seized up.
I think that also may be due to the cold, a bit of heating helped as well.
So I have donated the first four blocks and just kept going.
It's nice to find motivation isn't it?
Welcome back. Loved following your adventure. I am blaming the extremely hot summer for my lack of fabric motivation
ReplyDeleteLovely Churn Dash blocks, and good to see you posting again. I've just made 10 CD blocks at 6" won't be doing that again!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I am eager to watch this quilt grow.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I can take a while to get going again too; it's good to see you found some inspiration and these look very promising.
ReplyDeleteI notice when I come back from a break that it takes me a while to remember what I was doing, focus, and begin again. And I think I do sometimes have trouble being inspired after a break. I try to (but don't always succeed in) having something ready to begin when I know I'm going to be away for a few days or longer. That way I don't have to think too much.
ReplyDeleteI love churn dash blocks and yours are beautiful.
I scrolled through some of your previous posts. Your travel photos are amazing. Well, the country is amazing. So big and wide. I don't now how many miles 300 kilometers is but I suspect it's quite far. Good for you for walking all that long distance.
